Frequently asked questions
Does Rate Cataloger guarantee a win?
No. It only shows points where price tends to react. In our tests the simulated hit rate varied a lot between assets and many were below 50%. Use the Checklist and the historical hit rate to choose better, and never risk more than you can lose.
The list came back empty. Now what?
Try the Moderate or Aggressive type, tick more assets or change the timeframe. With the market closed there may be few zones.
What does NOW mean?
Price is within 0.5 ATR of the zone. It's the moment to look at the chart closely.

Rate cataloger and support/resistance

Generate signals from support and resistance zones identified from historical asset data. Zones act as reference points for entries.

When to use it

The entry zones cataloger helps those who trade support and resistance turn zones found in the historical data into signals. It suits strategies based on price levels and reactions in important regions.

How to use

  1. Choose the asset and timeframe.
  2. Review the zones identified.
  3. Generate the signals and check them with the rate checker.

Best practices

  • Choose assets with enough history for the zones to be meaningful.
  • Validate the zones with the rate and zone checker.
  • Compare the performance of recent and older zones.
  • Combine it with the trend reading to pick the side of the entry.

Common mistakes

  • Treating every zone as equally strong.
  • Trading a zone without considering nearby news.
  • Using very old zones as if they were still current.

Frequently asked questions

A price region where an asset tends to stop falling.
How do I validate the signals?
